SKERRITT / SKIRRITT; ENG > CAN / USA; 1785- I am looking for the marriage of John Skerritt and Alice_______ around 1786-87 probably in Lincolnshire or some adjoining county in England. Their children were born in the Grantham Parish but I don't find their marriage. There is a fair representation of this name in the Grantham Parish for at least 100 years, but I'm missing my connectors. My research has led me to Canada as it appears that some of the descendants went to both the US and Canada. If you have any sources for this information such as marriage indexes where you could do a look-up for me I would greatly appreciate it. If you happen to run across any other Skerritt marriages in the process I would appreciate knowing about those too. Each new piece of information seems to put another piece of the puzzle in place.
