TELFORD Robert; COR,IRL>QC,CAN; c. 1843 I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather before he emigrated to Canada circa 1843. Information known is as follows: Robert Telford, married to Ann (maiden name unknown). Father's name possible John William Telford. Came from County Cork - Carragiline area, I believe. They would have emigrated with two children - George and Rosey. Another daughter, Mary Ann, was born while they were crossing. They settled in Pontiac County, Quebec, and from there, the children scattered into other areas of Canada, and the US. Three of the children came to Wisconsin, and I am a descendant of one of these. Any info or help on where to find more information would be greatly appreciated.
