Re: LEIGHTON, Sidney, Stanley; DUR,ENG>CAN; 1700-1900 I am looking for any information about LEIGHTON in Southshields, Durham and surrounding areas. My grandfather Sidney Stanley Leighton was apparently born there abt. 1896. He died in Canada in 1957. He must have come to Canada before 1915 because he served in the Canadian forces during WW1.
