Born abt. 1839, in either England or Wales. In 1891 was living in St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada. His occupation was listed as police captain. Married Mary Jane McAndrews in 1866, in St. Johns. Had the following children: Charlotte Louisa Rawlings b. 21 July 1867, d. 8 June 1871 Richard James Rawlings b. 28 Nov 1868 Mary Jane "Polly" Rawlings b. 25 July 1870 William Henry Rawlings b. 22 Apr. 1872, d. 15 Nov 1927 Bessie Mabel Pollard "Queenie" Rawlings b. 28 Feb. 1874 John Nixon Rawlings b. 6 May 1880, d. 13 Mar 1952 Arthur C. Rawlings b. 1884 Daisy M. Rawlings b. 1889, d. 3 Aug. 1956 He allegedly had a brother named James Rawlins, born abt. 1832, although I've been unable to confirm this.
