NEAL John / BARRETT Elizabeth; Coolattin, WIC,IRL >ON,CAN; -1834 John Neal (later O'Neil) b 1809 in Paulbeg, Shillelagh, Co Wicklow, probably the son of Patt Neal and Mary Kelly. He married in 1832 to Elizabeth Barrett. They lived in Newroe on the Coolattin estate. They attended Tomacork Roman Catholic Church. Born in Ireland were four children, Patrick in 1833, Mary or Margaret in 1835, Elizabeth in 1837 and Edward in 1840. They emigrated to Goulbourne Twp, near Ottawa, Ontario in 1842, likely leaving from New Ross or Waterford 5 May 1842 or near that date. Any information on this family would be gratefully received.
