William was a blacksmith in NS before coming to Haverhill, Essex, Ma. where he worked in shoe mfg. He had at least one sibling, Annie MUNROE, who was a nurse. In Robert's obit, it states "the deceased was a native of Cork, Ireland". Robert and Amelia lived in St.Thomas, Ontario. Robert and Amelia's sons born in Ontario are: Benjamin b. 1851, twins Richard and Henry b. 1846, and John. All the sons lived in Canada -- Ontario, Manitoba, and Sask.at various times. I am researching STOVER who was in the 1st New Jersey Volunteers and know that a lot of the men from those regiments settled in King's County.
