    3. MCGEE, Joseph C; IRL>QC,CAN>NY,USA; 1859-1926 Am seeking any information on ancestors/siblings of Joseph C. McGee, born 1859, somewhere in Quebec. He emigrated to the US in 1880. He lived mostly in northern VT (esp North Hero) and northern NY (Beekmantown, Lyon Mountain, Plattsburgh). I know little else about him, except that he named his children Monetta, Rose, Dora and Dwight. His middle name MAY have been Cornelius. On one US census, it says that his parents were born in Canada, and spoke Irish. I am desperate to get a lead on this line, so any information will be greatly appreciated. 3. PARKER; ENG>CAN; 1817- ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- From: Self <legends> To: Surnames Britain Subject: PARKER; ENG>NB; 1817-present Reply-to: legends@www.wie.com Date: Wed, 17 Dec 1997 14:16:10 -0700 Hi all! Searching for any information on the Parker family. I am a descendant of Richard Parker b. 1817 and immigrated to Canada (New Brunswick) in his youth. From where and the date is still plaguing me. He married Lucy Fuller 1851 and they had many children: Joseph (1853), John Allison (1854), Herbert (1856), James (1857), twins Mae and Alfred (1860), Warren (1862) and Thaddeus (1875). Until the turn of the century (1900) these Parkers remained in NB. Then Alfred, Warren and Thaddeus moved to Needham Maine. James later moved his wife and family to Winnipegosis Manitoba to work in the lumber industry. Today there are Parkers in BC, AB, MB, ON, NB (especially Stoney Creek, Salisbury and Moncton) and Maine that come from this line. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. To view more info on the Parker family tree, check out the web site in the signature below. I have more data that will be added over the holidays! 1. MACLEOD; CAN; 1750-
    2. MACLEOD; CAN; 1750- MACLEOD - There is a MACLEOD river in Canada somewhere in Alberta I think. One of my cousins was told the story that the river was namef after our MACLEOD ancestors. However I have serious doubts. My ancestors came from Wick, on the north European coastal side of Scotland. Are there any MACLEOD researchers that may be able to help with this question. Family being looked for are William, (John) Alexander,Elspet, George all born around the 1800s in Latheron. John is my gg grandfather. John's children were Janet, Elisabeth, Neil, Jamima, John, Johanna, George and Esther. Neil,(my ggrandfather) Jamima and Esther came to New Zealand. Some of these people may have been amonge the MACLEODS who went to Canada. Lillian Dorsey DORSEY_CHCH@xtra.co.nz
