Baker (maybe Annie) living in Hastings County in 1878. If you are interested in the history of Hastings County, you should try and contact the Hastings County Council to get a copy of a book that was published in 1967 called HISTORIC HASTINGS by Gerald E. He died at about 75 years of age in the USA, around 1928 (+/-). He left St. Johns sometime between 1870 and 1875, moving to Kingston, ON. He was a schooner captain and either sailed on or owned a ship named "Herbert Dudley". His first two sons, Herbert Parsons and Dudley Parsons, were named for his schooner. Dudley was born in 1874, Herbert a year or so earlier. His youngest son, George Kirk Parsons, was my grandfather, born in Kingston in 1892. Joseph was married to Sophia Robinson, who may have come from either St. Johns or Kingston. Any information on either the Parsons or Robinson families of St. Johns or Kingston would be appreciated.
