BOOTH (The writing on the census isn't clear - it appears to be "David" but could be "Donald". born 1844-45 in (Lancashire?) England. John BOOTH, born 1846-47 in (Lancashire?) England Their parents were Hannah (Hughes) and John Booth (cotton winder and spinner). The 1861 census shows their address as 15 Harrison Street, Ancoats, Manchester, Lancashire. The earliest Canadian record is 1865 when the father bought a cemetery plot in Halifax, N.S., Canada. To this point, I haven't found the two brothers named above and don't know if they left England or, if they did, where they settled. Any information would be very much appreciated! Thanks. Identified ones are Bernard 1822, and Jeremiah abt. 1835. Darby Moffatt family settled in Ontario Co. Pickering township abt. 1841. Moved to NY for a short time where two other unidentified children died. Moved back to Ontario and settled in Mara township abt 1855. Jeremiah MOFFATT married Mary Kelly in Uptergrove, Simcoe-Ontario. Co, Ontario, Canada in 1857 and died at age 35 in 1871. Bernard MOFFATT married Mary RYAN in or around Pickering township abt. 1855 before relocating with his parents to Mara township.
