    3. CURRAN; ON,CAN; 1827-1872 Robert Curran left Ballyhalbert, Co Down, Ireland and settled on Amherst Island in 1827. He returned to Ballyhemlin, Co. Down and married Jane Reid and remained there from 1834-1858. They appear in the 1861 Amherst Island census and in the 1871 Amherst census Jane and her children appear but Robert is not listed even though it states that Jane is married. Shortly after this the family moved to Chicago. My great grandfather James Curran and his wife Rachel Warnock and their family left Ballyhalbert in 1872 and settled in Chicago. The sons were sailors on the Great Lakes and three of them married girls from Amherst Island. I would like to find the relationship between Robert and James Curran. If any one is interested in this family please check my WebPage and contact me. Martha Parker "Martha Parker" <mmparker@ix.netcom.com>

    3. DIONNE Evariste / LAURION Germaine; CAN; 1900-1970 I am looking for any info concerning the parents or ancestors of an Evariste DIONNE born approximately 1907 in Drummondville, Quebec. He married Germaine LAURION in 1927(Drummondville), and they had 2 children Pierrette and Janine. I am doing some research for my fiance and am hoping to be able to surprise him. I had also seen reference somewhere on a website (and cannot locate it now) concerning another Evariste DIONNE born in the later 1800's who was a son of a Joseph DIONNE. I am wondering if this earlier Evariste may be linked to the later Evariste (as it appears to be a somewhat uncommon name - at least in my canadian genealogical studies). Please reply to my e-mail if possible. Thank you. Marilyn Thome MarjTh789@aol.com

    3. BISSET James; SCT>CAN; 1835-1869 Hi Juanita, I saw your series of posts providing information on various families in Canada. I have a researcher that is pulling together quite a bit of information for me on my James Bisset / Helen Melvina Bradford family of Huntingdon and Abbotsford, Quebec. James was a Scot, B: 1835 in Scotland, D: 1869 in Huntingdon. He married Helen (a native of Quebec) sometime before 1860 in a place so far undiscovered. I have NO information on when he emigrated, with whom (if accompanied), via where in North America, or from where in Scotland. My most important quest at the moment is to uncover his birthplace / family in Scotland. I was just wondering if you have anything at all in your many sources that could contribute to my knowledge of my Great Grandfather and family?
