WILLIS, Henry; Kingswood, GLS,ENG; -1860 Henry WILLIS is listed in the 1881 Census as coal miner residing at Cheltenham in Bitton/Oldlands with wife Fanny (HEMMENS) and four children. Where is the district of Cheltenham or New Cheltenham in the Bitton/Oldlands district? Henry was the organist for Holy Trinity church according to my aunt. Does anyone researching the name WILLIS in Bristol area have any leads on Henry's predecessors? I have been unable to nail down a birth date for Henry. IGI lists two Henry WILES, one christened 01/Jan/1834 to John and Anne Wiles of Cheltenham and the other christened 24/Apr/1840 to Thomas and Anne Wiles of Pauntley I favour the former as the names John and Anne are common in the tree.
