HODGKINS; GBR; 1750-1950 Hi I am tracing the family of HODGKINS particularly in the London & Gloucester districts, and would be pleased to receive any data that might help. The earliest area I have for them is Stow On The Wold especially Broadwell. Sometime during the 19th C they moved towards London. Godfrey Clement HODGKINS' mother was Rose Ellen ( CLEMENTS or similar as the maiden name is hard to distinguish on his birth certificate in 1896 ). I know nothing about his mother who married John Charles HODGKINS he came from Gloucester but she may have come from elsewhere. But they definitely settled in London eventually. Godfrey later married May Thorn MORTIMER her father was the landlord of The Wellington public house in Leyton, London.
