He was born between l630-l640 in the South of England. He was established in Maine (then Massachusetts) in l669. He was married to Sarah Endle. He was listed as a bricklayer. He participated in Indian Wars and joined the Baptist church in Boston. His USA family is traced, but we are very eager to establish the British connection. While the name appears in baptismal records, the same name also appears in parish death records. No evidence of sailing to America. No passenger lists have borne John's name.
