PEMBLE, James; ENG; 1800-1860 Looking for Pemble's in the Kent area early 1800's or earlier. My great-great grandfather was James Pemble who owned the butchershop in the town square of Birchington (by-the-sea), Kent. English census shows James born 1838, married to Sarah (b. 1834) and having the following children: Albert E b.1865 Charles b. 1859 Robert b. 1861 Sarah b. 1863 James P. b. 1867 Thomas b. 1869 Ellen Louise b. 1872 Jane Elizabeth b. 1874 Kate Agnes b. 1876 Pemble being a fairly obscure name, every Pemble I have found is from Kent.
