CARMICHAEL; PER,SCT > CAN; 1861- I am researching all CARMICHAEL Families & their Descendants that came from the Parish of Comrie, Perthshire, SCT and settled in Ontario, CAN. This is referenced in a 1924 publication "Donald Carmichael and his Descendants." Donald Carmichael's families were broken down in to many branches - St. Fillan's (near Comrie), Port of Monteith (Perthshire), Dalginross (Comrie), Alloa (Clackmannan), Lechkin (Comrie), The Ross (Comrie), Glentarken (near Comrie), Balnacuil (near Comrie). I am especially looking for descendants of Helen CLARK m. McDOUGALL (St. Fillan's); Helen DRUMMOND (St. Fillan's) m. Thomas WHYTE (Beckwith Twp, Lanark Co.); Christina CARMICHAEL (Port of Monteith) m. John MacRORIE; Peter CARMICHAEL (Glentarken) m. Helen CARMICHAEL (Tullybannocher, Comrie) immigrated about 1861 and had issue Ann CARMICHAEL (Glentarken) m. McFADYEN and had issue Jessie, Margaret & Robert at St. Mary's, Blanshard, Perth Co & Helen CARMICHAEL (Glentarken) m. McDONALD.
