HERSEE Thompson; SSX,ENG; 1790 Looking for information on the HERSEE family of Arundel, Sussex, England. Thompson (middle name Orton or Holtord) HERSEE was christened 31 Mar 1790 in Arundel. He was married to Martha WALLER (21 Aug 1789-4 Sep 1863) of Redgwick, Sussex. Their children were Isaac (Christened 14 Jun 1812), Thompson (b. 13 May 1814, christened in Arundel 19 Jun 1814, died in Buffalo, NY, USA 1 Dec 1884), and Benjamin (christened 24 Aug 1817 in Arundel). The parents and at least Thompson Jr. came to America about 1829 and moved to Buffalo, NY. Thompson the son married Annette Moses and started a furniture company that became very successful.
