Robert was married twice. By his first wife, Isabella WEALLENS, b. 4 Feb 1814, he had eight children : Samuel MANN, b. 10 Aug 1833, came to Canada in 1854; Henry (Harry) MANN, b. 10 Jul 1835; Isabella MANN, b. 23 Nov 1837, married John POTTER and came to Canada in 1857; Mary Elizabeth MANN, b. 20 May 1840; Christiana MANN, b. 5 Jun 1842; John James MANN, b 24 Oct 1844; Alice MANN, b. 4 Feb 1847; and Charles MANN, b. 14 Aug 1849, all in Newcastle-on-Tyne. By his second wife, Anne BRIGGS, b. abt 1823 in Sheffield, he had four children : Arthur MANN, b. abt 1860, married Eleanor PRICE, had two sons, Leslie and Russell MANN; Annie MANN; Clara MANN; Susanna MANN; and Francis Walter MANN. Robert had one sister, Elizabeth (Bessie) MANN, b. abt 1818 in Gateshead, DUR, thought to have married John Carter CAMPBELL.
