HEWITT Desmond; NIR>CHS,ENG; 1921-1972 Desmond HEWITT was born 24/8/1921 in Culcavy, in the District of Hillsboro, in the Union of Lisburn in County Down. His mother is Lucinda HEWITT, the fathers name is not given on the Birth Certificate. His Marriage Certificate states his name as Desmond James HEWITT and he married Mildred Fowler HUGHES in Chester in 1947. The family believe his mother and father never married and that his father left for New Zealand before his birth. Lucinda died shortly after his birth and he was brought up by his Aunt, Florence Elizabeth HEWITT. Can anybody researching the name HEWITT throw some light on this?
