She died when her son, born in 1852, was young. He, it is believed, raised by an aunt named Elizabeth-or-Martha WHITEHEAD. I have a book called "Dictates: a lesson in Orthography" signed by Elizabeth WHITEHEAD on May 2, 1828. There is also a signature Wm. WHITEHEAD I do not know his relation to Elizabeth - ?brother? All I have at the present is a birth date of her son, the only one known, James Williamson OWEN, a physician in general practice.
