Re: OSBORNE, Charles Paul; WAR,ENG; 1850- I am tracing the name OSBORNE, Charles was born in 1850 in Birmingham, England. By 1881 he was on the Isle of Wight as a Private in the First Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders stationed at Parkhurst. He marrried there in March, 1883 to a Maryann PERKS also of the Birmingham area. In 1884 a son Charles Herbert was born. In 1885 he was a Corporal in the Highlanders, now at Fort George, Arderiser, Inverness, Scotland, there a second son was born Joseph Thomas. A daughter was born at a later time, date unknown. By 1918 at the time of his second sons marrriage he was already deceased. Does this name or information seem formiliar to anyone ? I am unable to find at this time anything about his military record, with out having some one do an in person search in the records office for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, L.
