Jr. b 27 Sep 1784 m Margaret Vass, d 15 May 1853 GA; Thomas; Benjamin; Polly m a Coleman; and, Rebecca m a Newsome. Stephen Mitchell was a sergeant in the Revolutionary War in Capt. George Lambert's Company of the 14th VA Regiment. After Celia Batts' death, this Stephen Mitchell (or perhaps his son) married Mourning/Marinay G. F. Howard.
