MCKENDRICK / MACKENDRICK; SCT>USA; 1700-1800 Is there anyone researching this name? It appears that, in Scotland in the 1700s, family members now known as only HENDERSON were listed variously as MCKENDRICK, HENDRY and HENRY; once in the American Colonies, were listed as MCKENDRICK and HENDERSON. Other names of similar derivation are HENRIE/HENDERS/HENRYSON and MACEANRUIG/MACHENDRY/MACHENRY. Any information will be appreciated. Russ Henderson, P.O. Currently there are 383 descendants listed. Notice the paucity of other names, this is because of the difficulty of tracing the maternal line. Names listed are. WALLIS; NTH,ENG; 1800 Seeking WALLIS Families in Orlingbury, Staverton. Timeframe 1860 to 1800 for now. William WALLIS born 1834 in Orlingbury removed to Staverton, where he was a constable he met and had a son with Hannah TREADGOLD. The son was baptized William Wallis TREADGOLD in 1862 at St. Marys in Staverton. Family lore is Hannah refused William WALLIS' offer of marriage. William knew he had a son as years later the two men passed each other on the streets and look at one another and smile in acknowledgement, supposely they resemble one another. I wish to find out if my g. grandfather Wm. Wallis Treadgold had any half sibilings and if any "relatives" might have a photo of William WALLIS that I could have a copy of? If anyone wishes to contact me, E-mail me privately and I'll send my snail mail address Any input or Wallis information most welcomed Thank you nolin@cardina.net
