BURNS Denis / QUINN Catherine; Cork, IRL>Liverpool, LAN,ENG; 1845-1850 Re posting for information on Denis BURNS born c1838 IRL, Catherine QUINN born c1833 IRL, with additional info. I am trying to locate the place of birth of Denis BURNS and Catherine QUINN. Also the Marrage. Information received from the last posting of this request was: James (Jas.) QUINN and Bridget HUFFY had a child Catherine QUINN born in County York (I think York is Cork) during 1833. ( If you receive this email thanks again Pat, NJ,USA) This appears to fit my information on two counts (1) the birth of Catherine QUINN is the same year, (2) the fact that Catherine has a dau. named Bridget. As names appear to have been past down through families. This is my thinking at this time. The above information has to be confirmed by me at time of this request. The information that i have on Denis BURNS and Catherine QUINN at this time is as follows: 1881 Census Living at Deansgate Ln Formby ENG Denis BURNS Ire 43yrs Catherine BURNS (nee QUINN) Ire 48yrs Children Bridget 15 Mary 10 James 8 1872 Birth Cert. of James BURNS Address - Braggs Houses, Wavertree, Liverpool ENG Occupation of Denis BURNS - Coachman Domestic Servant At the birth of Bridget in 1866 Catherine would be 33yrs. old. Catherine's age would surgest older children 'moved' away from the family home or died. Questions Where in Ireland was Denis born? Where in Ireland was Catherine born? When did Denis and Catherine move from Ireland to Liverpool? Where they married in Ireland or Liverpool? Do they have children older than Bridget? If so who are they and how old are they? How do i go about locating Denis and Catherine in Ireland? any information regarding the above questions would be appreciated. Terence Burns TBURNS7837@aol.com Cheshire ENG.
COWLEY, Joseph; Long Compton, Warwick, ENG; 1864 Hi! My greatgrandfather was Joseph Cowley, b. 1864 in Long Compton, Warwick, Eng. Mother was Elizabeth b. approx. 1830 in Oxf. Wardington (where is this?). Father was Robert. b. approx. 1827 in War Burton Dassett (where is this?). There was another son, Robert, b. 1860. The 1881 census lists both Robert, Jr. and Joseph as being Ag. laborers, while father was listed as Laborer. Is there any difference between the two types? Does anyone have any info on any of these people? "Nancy" <nsswork@erols.com>
