At this stage they had three children, William, Ann and Nancy. 1851 Census Thomas is a hand loom weaver living at Boardmans, Tottington Lower End with Rachel and 6 children, William, Nancy, James, Betsy, John and Rachel. Some time between 1851 and 1871 the family moved to Habergham Eaves near Burnley possibly via Bolton. They had at least another 6 children - Mary A., Margaret, Ralph (my g-g-grandfather), Thomas, Joseph and Sarah J. By the 1871 Census Rachel is a widow.
