    3. WESKETT; ENG; 1830-1900 I am researching WESKETT (and variations of spelling) families in Gloucestershire, Berkshire and the London area from about 1830 to 1900. My husband's ggfather, Joseph Weskett, was born in Wantage, Berkshire about 1838. His birth is not registered in the civil registrations. He married Emma Elizabeth Male in St Marylebone, London in 1863. They had 8 children. One of their sons, Henry Herbert, came to Canada in 1904/5, lived in Montreal for a time but settled in Toronto in 1908 where he raised a family. My husband is his grandson. Joseph had an older brother, of whom we know very little and a younger brother, Frederick. Three of Frederick's sons came to Canada and settled around the Ottawa area. I believe there are some Wesketts in Australia and/or New Zealand, also. Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated. TIA Rosemary Looking for: WESKETT (Anywhere, anytime) ADAMS (England) DAVIS (England) PARRICK (Anywhere, anytime) -- Rosemary Davis Ottawa, Ontario Canada [email protected] (Rosemary Davis)

    1. HADLOW,Emma; KEN,ENG; 1861
    2. Lesley Huppert
    3. HADLOW,Emma; KEN,ENG; 1861 * LAST POSTED October 1997* EMMA HADLOW - that's how she signed the marriage certificate - was married in Lee, Kent in 1861 to William Pepper (witnesses were John and Mary Skinner). My great great grandmother was 'of full age' and the daughter of SAMUEL BARNES, a stone mason. Since she was a spinster Samuel was either her stepfather, or else Samuel was her biological father in which case Emma was born a Barnes and not a Hadlow. Anyone have any knowledge of this individual or of the Barnes or Hadlow families living in Kent in 1861? With thanks in advance, Regards, Lesley Huppert Constance Bay, Ontario, Canada e-mail <[email protected]>
