Sylvia was adopted after the death of Emma and had no further contact with her father, or either family. I have found an Emma Goode listed as a Christening April 13, 1857 at Saint Michael, Coventry, Warwick, England (in the LDS database) but don't know if this is an ancestor of the above named Emma. The mother of E.Goode 1857 was also an Emma Goode so it may have been a "family" name. If anyone can help please mail me - I am married to the granddaughter of E.M.V.GOODE and we would like to trace back her family tree - the adoption has made things difficult.
