WAYMAN John; GLS,ENG; -1850 Sometime before 1837, John WAYMAN (or WEYMAN) married Martha whose maiden name is not known. Place of marriage might have been North Nibley GLS as the 1851 census records Martha as having been born there. They had a son Elijah who was born in 1837/38 in Woodford according to the1851 census record but the birth is not recorded in the ONS index. The ONS index records the death of a John Wayman in the registration district of Stroud GLS in the December quarter of 1840. By the census of 1851, Martha (35) was in Thornbury GLS workhouse with Elijah (13) and two more children, Emma (5) and Alfred (1). Emma's birth certificate gives no father's name.
