MAGUIRE, James / GOORVAN, Annie.; IRL>MA,USA; 1864-1933 My great grandmother's maiden name was Annie Gorvan (or Gorevan, goorvan, etc.). Her father's name was Dennis and her mother was Bridget Jenks. She was married to James Maguire whose father's name was Francis. They probably emigrated right around the same time . According to the 1920 US Census, she and my greatgrandfather were naturalized in 1882. The following are the names of their children I know about: William F. (my grandfather) Margaret Bowen Nellie Mary James Francis Richard Joseph Alice Tobin Ann Stephens I am trying find out anything I can about them, particularly where in Ireland they came from. My grandfather, William Francis, for whom I'm named, died in 1930 from lung damage contracted in WW I. The family was from Dorchester, MA. It's tough to trace Maguire without more to go on, but Jenks and Gorvan are less common and I was hoping it might give me a lead. Thanks.
