From Lawrance MARKEY, his son, Michael MARKEY married in Ecclesfield YK, England, and down from further generations then lived in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England. Ellen WOGAN, w/o Michael MARKEY, and d/o James WOGAN, was born abt 1820, also somewhere in Ireland. Ann Hawcroft (nee GILDERTHORPE) marr Michael's son, Lawrance MARKEY, 16-May 1864 in Barnsley, YKS, England. Her father was William GILDERTHORPE ... may also have been from IRL. These folks were all in the cotton trade - weavers, binders, etc. Anything any KS could give me in the way of direction would be deeply appreciated.
