DAVIS, born approximately June, 1865, in White County, TN. Yesterday I was scanning through some microfilm, and I believe I may have found his parents on the 1880 soundex index (still need to obtain the full census page), located in White County, TN. I was looking for Rubin, and this is the only Rubin I found on the soundex who is about the right age -- I think this must be my connection: DAVIS, Samson, white, male, aged 41, born in TN Sarah, wife, 38, TN Mary Lou, dau, 17, TN Reuben, son, 14, TN William, son, 13, TN Carter, son, 9, TN Winney Caroline, dau, 8, TN Nancy Jane, dau, 5, TN John Zebedee, son, 3, TN Samson, son, 1, TN Vol 34, E.D. 141, Sheet 15, Line 25 Rubin/Ruben/Reubin m. Liley Ann KIRBY, apparently born around Aug, 1870, in Warren Co, TN. Ruben and Liley DAVIS lived in White Co, TN, for several years, and they show up on the 1900 TN census in White Co. At some point they moved to Bardwell (Carlisle Co), KY, because I found a birth record for one of their daughters there. As of 1913, there were eleven children born to the couple but only 7 living at that time. I guess there are some other children that I don't know about (yet).
