ADAMS, Hiram; ON,CAN > PA,USA >NY,USA; 1815-1865 Our gg grandfather was Albert J. Adams, born 13 SEP 1841 in or near Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Savilla Knorr of Bloomsburg and Hiram Adams who was born in "Dumardville," Ontario. At least this is what the death certificate for Albert indicates. We have asked around and checked atlases, etc., and failed to locate any place named "Dumardville." However, we have managed to determine that there used to be place called "Drummondville," Ontario. This was eventually annexed by Niagara Falls, and I think the only traces of this community today are the name of Drummondville Road. We think that our Dumardville may actually be Drummonville. Also, in light of the fact that Albert died and was buried in Niagara Falls, New York, just across the big ditch from Niagara Falls, Ontario, this may be a hint that the Drummondville site is ours.
