Re: PERCEY; Downton,ENG; 1700- Hello, I recognise some of these surnames. My cousin Gwen is married to Dave Quinton. There are Newmans in both Downton and the neighbourning village Redlynch. There was a farm we called Newmans' farm right on the boarder between Downton and Redlynch. Downton, Wilts is only a mile or so from the next county Hants (where by the way there is a Downton too). I do not recognise the name P(i)ercy. Have you tried contacting the vicar of St. Lawrence's C.of E church or the Methodist or Baptist churches/chapels there? There was also a Rehoboth church there in the 50's too, I remember.
