GASKELL James; ENG>USA; c. 1860 I have been researching a Gaskell family who emigrated to America from Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire, England about 1858. The father of this family was James aged about 48 & his wife was Cecily. There were several children, including Joseph Gaskell 16, James Gaskell 12, John Gaskell 10, Ellen Gaskell 7, George Gaskell 4, Charles Gaskell 1 & Francis Gaskell under 1.
