One child of Robert Saunderson and Agnis McGILL/MAGILL. Baptised June the 7th 1806, By the Rev Francis Carlisle at Corraneary Meeting House, Co. Cavan. Grandparents may be Robert Saunderson, (? born at Bally Bay, Co.Monaghan),+ Mary TELFORD.. Robert's occupation was Soldier, having enlisted as a soldier in the 63rd Regiment of Foot, on May 20th 1825. He was also a weaver. He married Mary NIXON, b. 1809-1819 [Abt], Mary d. 17 Nov 1871, Oatlands,Tasmania, Australia. I have not found a marriage date/place for them yet. Robert died 19 April 1872, Oatlands, Tasmania. Robert and Mary went to Australia about 1850 on the "Eliza". Robert, having been pensioned from the Army, worked as a supervisor at the Cascades Prison. One child was supposed to have travelled with them, but I can find no further trace of him/her.
