HOMEYER Wilhelm / VOLKMAR Catharine; HES,DEU > ON,CAN; 1825-1908 Wilhelm Homeyer (b. 29 Sep 1825) was married in Germany to Catharine Volkmar (b. 18 Oct 1826). They emigrated to Waterloo County, Ontario, in 1862 with three girls and one boy. Five more children were born in Canada. Marie (Mary) b. 1851, m. John Robert Louis Beyer Sophia Fredericka b. 26 Apr 1853, m. William Frederick Doerfling Maria Augusta b. 28 Nov 1855, m. Frederick Louis Walther John Bernhardt b. 1859, m. Anna Fischer Catharine Sophia b. 16 Apr 1863, m. Otto (Henry) Müeller Henry b. 12 May 1865 William b. 07 Aug 1867, m. Sarah Ann Good Amelia Homeyer b. 1869, m. John Zickrick Annie Christina Louise, b. 1871, M. Joseph William James Six of the children remained in Canada. Mary and Henry moved to Minnesota, and Amelia moved to South Dakota. Looking for Wilhelm and Catharine's parents. It is believed that Maria Augusta was born in Motzenrode which has recently been incorporated into the community of Meinhard, Germany.
