    3. LINKLETTER / HENKE / SHIRER / SHIRE; ENG>USA; 1700-1900 I am new at this. My first attempt. My paternal grandmother was Mary Henke. She was from England. She was a nurse during WWII. She married my grandfather, a US soldier, named John Peach Linkletter. They had a son named Victor Hubert Linkletter born in New Jersey, USA. Victor was born in 1920 still alive. Anyone having information please contact me. I was adult adopted as Shirer. I have a partial family tree back to 1723 with John Shirer and Peter Shirer. I was told the Shirer family came from England but the English spelling there was Shire. The Shirer family settled in Pennsylvania. My adopted father was Harold Ray Shirer born in Isabella, Pennsylvania 12/21/17. In the mid-1800's Susan Thomas married into the Shirer family. There is a Thomas-Shirer family cemetery in Pennsylvania near Union Town. Any information, please write me. chiro628@aol.com (Chiro628)
