PETER, George Anderson; SCT>USA; 1863- George Anderson Peter. b 3 Nov 1863, Wemyss, Fife.He married Hattie M _ _ _,possibly in Scotland prior to emigration to Iowa, USA, where several members of his family took part in an agricultural settlement scheme at Ocheyedan. Whereas most immigrants to the "Scotch settlement in Ocheyedan Township [had] scattered from misfortune or inexperience in farming," notes Perkins in 1892, G.A. Peter, "a son of one of the Scotch settlers", had stayed on and was "a good farmer". I am trying to trace what became of him and whether there are any descendants.
