JONSEN / VIGGEN; NOR >USA; 1888-1948 JONSEN / VIGGEN; NOR>USA; 1888-1848 JONSEN / VIGGEN; NOR > USA; 1888- Please help me to find my dads unckels relatives.My dad is 90 years old and his biggest whish is to find his unckels relatives.I`m looking for rellatives from Norway,who emigrated to U.S.A. The Information I have on the person I`m searching for is: Peder Jonsen (Viggen) Born: 1869 at Viggja in Soer Troenderlag in Norway. Emigrated to Chicago ILL. April 18 th 1888,from Trondheim. He went over on the wessel m/s Hero to Hull in England,I don`t know what ship he used to get to Amerika. As far as I know,Peder Jonsen died 1948. He was married twice,but he only had children in his first marriage.He had 3 children, one of them,a boy named James or Jamas Bevare that Norwegians often changed their names so it would be easier to pronounce in English.He may be called by the surename Jonston/jonson or similar names. He maby altso used the name Viggen/Wiggen.He live in IL until his dead. It would be greate fun for all of us on the Norwegian side of the Atlantic ocean,if someone had any information about Peder Jonsen and his decedants.
