MARKS,William George; Plumstead,London,ENG; 1830- I am trying to trace William George Marks, my great grandfather, He was born possibly 18/05/1831 in Plumstead His father was Edward Marks a gardener of Plumstead . I would like information on him also. William George was a blacksmith indentured to William Chicken & John Stewart of Blackwall. From 18/05/1847 for 5 years, that is where I derive the approx. birth date. He married Hannah Lansley 16/01/1859 His son Charles is my grandfather. We do not know of any other children as of now.
