BROWN William; Wrabness, ESS,ENG; 1840-1903 Hello, This is a bit of a long shot but I am trying to trace the history of a William Brown Born C.1840 died 1903 in Tendring Union Work house from Cancer of the rectum. (Ouch) He is believed to have been a Navie on the railway from Manning tree, Essex and in 1882-1884 took up residence in Wrabness, Essex. Later married an Emily Porter on 3rd August 1890 in Wrabness. In the 1891 census, the only one we defiantly know was him, his birth place was stated as unknown. (N.K.) Together Emily and William had the total of 5 children + the possibly of having three more before they married. When he died, Emily did not know any of his family to tell them of his death, so we are a bit stuck. There is a bit of confusion of where he was born, someone say's Scotland, someone else said Liverpool and some one else said Suffock/Essex. We have checked the Railway records and there is no records of Navies, also his death record at the work house say's birth place unknown. Does anyone have any information that may help me trace this person. If anyone has any William Browns they cant trace, please let me know as I am having to just grasp at straws at the moment. Many, many thanks. Paul. "Paul Atkins" <paul@lpbh.freeserve.co.uk>
