BYFORD; YKS,ENG; 1700- I have for some years been trying to trace my BYFORDs, below I have listed my earliest ancestors. The family were gardners and Potters originally, and indeed the Pottery trade continues through to Frederick and Harry who emigrated to the USA in around 1911. Harry was at one time President of the Alamo Pottery company. I would like to contact anyone researching my line or anyone who might know where Samuel came from. A family legend suggests that they came from Monmouth but I have never found any proof, despite the fact that there is a hamlet in that area. There is also a place in Yorkshire (near Bridlington) called Beeford which used to be known as Byford at one time. Please contact me if you can help Cheers, Peter Byford Descendants of Samuel BYFORD 1. SAMUEL1 BYFORD was born Bet. 1740 - 1760. Children of SAMUEL BYFORD are: i. OTHER SONS PERHAPS2 BYFORD. 2. ii.
