LODGE Charles Edward / GOWAN Mary Eileen; Manchester,ENG; 1888-1917 My grandfather, Charles Edward LODGE was born c.1888 at The Grove Hotel,Bury New Rd,Manchester.He was Private 27885 of The Lancashire Fusiliers and also an electric tram driver with Manchester Corporation.He was killed in WW1 at Passchendaele,September 1917. He married Mary Eileen GOWAN c.1914 at St Mary's C of E, Hulme,Manchester.They lived at 15 Irkdale St, Cheetham Manchester.Their son, also Charles Edward,was born May 1917.Charles senior was thought to have at least one brother and sister.It is their relatives that I mainly want to trace.There is a possibility that they were shopkeepers and that the sister's name was Jessie.
