THOMPSON William; KY,USA>MO,USA; 1822-1849 Looking for any information on William THOMPSON who was born on 3 March 1822 in Kentucky and married Elizabeth Lurinda (or Lucinda - last name unknown) there on 16 May 1839. By 1840 they were in Missouri and William is said to have died 29 June 1849 on the way to California. (He did manage to make an appearance in the 1850 Lawrence County, Missouri, census all the same.) His widow remarried to John W. WILKINSON. Children were: Matilda Caroline, Sarah Frances, Juliann Elizabeth, Mary Lucinda, Joel Haden, and Martha H. I have not been able to find any record of William and Elizabeth's marriage in Kentucky and don't know where in Kentucky they came from. My line is through Sarah Frances.
