He came to America in 1888 and was a day laborer.   His parents were Thomas & Eliza THATCHER. He had three sisters in England. He was twice married, first to Mary who died 5 Aug 1889 and then Mary Ann born 11 Aug 1859, died 7 Sep 1925.
