SHANE Charles,Mary / DE SHANE; CAN>MI,USA>IL,USA>MO,USA>OK,USA; c.1812 I am searching for info about SHANE, Charles, born abt 1812 in MI. Son was Peter SHANE, Alfred SHANE. He is said to have married an Indian woman, Mary, who was from Canada. One relative recalls that he heard that the Shanes were really French, with a name like "De Shane."
