BERGIN; KIK,IRL; 1850-1900 We are trying to trace the ancestors of my wife's grandmother, Annie Bergin, who was born in Ballysaggarts, in Ireland (we believe in Kilkenny). It looks as if Ballysaggarts is in fact Ballyragget, unless soomeone has an alternative suggestion. She emigrated to England with her sister Sarah and was working at 156, Strand (as a servant) when she married John Baker in 1881 at Strand Reg, Office. The family were Catholic. Annie's father was Joseph Bergin, who we believe died before 1881 - we do not know whether he emigrated. Does anyone know of a Joseph Bergin born in early-mid 1800s in the Kilkenny area?
