LEONARD; ENG; -1700 Looking for any information, documentation on the following LEONARD line: 1. Henry Leonard, 1500's 2. Thomas Leonard, m.(Lydia, Ludia?) White, children: 3. James, Henry, William, John, Philip, Thomas, Marjery, Joan and Sarah James, Henry, Philip and Thomas went to MA Bay colony from 1640's-1655. They were ironworkers. They may have been non-conformists. Possible places: Penceford, Somersetshire; Chester,Cheshire; Bilston; Pontypool James' eldest son Thomas was born in Pontypool, but they apparently only lived there for a short while, as ironworkers? They were brought to the Colony under the auspices of John Winthrop, Jr. to work at the Saugus Ironworks in Taunton.
