CHRISTOPHERSEN / -SOM, Martin; USA; 1868- Mu great grandfather - born in Oslo, Norway August 5th 1868 - baptized Aug 16th same year - Martin Adolf was his full name. Christophersen may also have been written with K inst.of Ch and f/ff instead of ph - -sen or -son int the end. His sister Amme Marie Chr. born March 22nd 1865 also emigrated. She was alive in 1946. I am not sure - but -think- maybe the lived in Minneapolis or maybe Minnesota - it says only "Minn" in my notes. I do not know when they left Norway but it must have been in 1888 or later - because Martin became the father of my grandfather in December 1888 - but was not married to the mother. I have been told that he was not allowed to marry her and was "sent" to USA - he had contact with his son, who visited him once before he married and got children here in Norway.
