    3. MICHEL; DEU; 1800-1950 I am researching all the names in the list below. They are all linked mainly by family documents I have in my own possession dating back to about the 1870s. But it is not always clear what some of the relationships are. Clearly, some of the names are very common in their own countries, so what I am looking for are some positive means of identifying the links between them. If anyone can help, I shall be most grateful. As far as I can tell, there are three separate and independent links between England and Germany. LECORE / LECOUR; Spitalfields LND,ENG; 1750-1850 I have traced my family back to Spitalfields in the 1790s, but am having difficulty getting further back from Jacob Lecour (born??) married 1791 in Spitalfields Christ Church. There is one entry for the Lecore family in the 1851 Census, but I am sure there were other families in East London at the time of the census. If you have any information or ideas for research, do let me know (guy.lecore@wanadoo.fr) "Lecore" <Catherine.Lecore@wanadoo.fr>

    3. WIGMORE John; London, ENG; 1690-1740 2000, Febr 27 Hello Great Britain, We, Ria and Paul Stuifzand Wigmore from Katwijk Holland, are looking for a connection to ancestors of my wife in Great Britain. In 1739 Aug 12, arrives in Rotterdam, John Wigmore, 42 Years ,born from London, and his wife Ann Devis, 46 years, born from Weschester (we suppose Winchester) with a child William 41/2 years. From notarial papers we know John is a boatswain in 1758 on the sloop "The John and Mary" with the captain Thomas Wigmore. The same Thomas is captain of the sloop "Friends Goodwill" in 1747. Presumably the both are relatives. We would like to contact anyone knowing something of these Wigmores or anyone who could suggest how to do further research because making a start is difficult for us from Holland. 1. HEGAN / HAGAN / GRAY; Belfast, IRL/USA; 1810-
    2. Christopher Morgan
    3. HEGAN / HAGAN / GRAY; Belfast, IRL/USA; 1810- I have traced back to my g.g.grandfather Robert Hegan who died 14.11.1881 at Little Brunswick Street, Belfast, a winding master (previously clerk). Can anybody help me to trace further back, and/or obtain further details of their children, brothers, sisters etc? Robert was born about 1817, place unknown. He married Mary Jane Gray who was born about 1828, place unknown, and died 26.11.1891 at 10 Little Brunswick Street, Belfast. She must have been quite young when she married, place again unknown. Children so far identified are as follows: Mary Hegan, b. c. 1846 place unknown. m. Charles Morgan 27.11.1863 at St Anne's, Belfast. 5 children (2 of whom died in infancy), all traced. She d. 1.8.1874 Little Victoria Street Belfast. Margaret Hegan (Maggie), b. c. 1852 place unknown, spinster d. Claremont St Belfast 1.7.1908 Thomas Hegan, Carpenter b. c. 1857 place unknown, m. 1. Sarah Cunningham 2. Rachel Strain. 7 girls, all identified, and twin boys died pre-5 NOT identified. Thomas d. 22.6.1920 at Cromwell Road, Belfast. James Hegan, b. c. 1860? place unknown. Last known to be at 22 Zetland St. Belfast 15.11.1881. May have gone to USA (see below). Emma Hegan, identified from vague memory of very young niece. Maybe wrong generation, or family. William Hegan, Bookbinder, b. c. 1862 place unknown, bachelor, d. 12.11.1934 at Claremont St. Belfast. (Previous addresses known.) Robert Hegan, Tobacconist, b. c. 1863 place unknown, bachelor, d. 17.1.1925 Claremont St, Belfast Eliza Jane Hegan, "Lady of private means", b. 21.5.1864 Harmony Place, Belfast, spinster, d. 20.2.1837 Claremont St, Belfast. At least one other! A male Hegan went to the USA after 1895. This may have been James. Whoever he was he had 3 daughters, born in Belfast about 1885-95 named Maud, Isabel and Ruby. Maud probably stayed in Belfast, and may have died in Rogan Street? Isabel and Ruby possibly married in the US, spouses unknown. Isabel may have had 2 boys, one called Horace who may have fought in 1st War (or more likely 2nd?). Ruby may have had 2 girls. No further detail known. Mary Jane Gray was illiterate, but clearly a matriarchal figure, registering several family births and deaths, signing with an X as HAGAN to add confusion to my quest! Her husband Robert was sure about his name, as was eldest daughter Mary when she married (but the register entry is clearly written "Hagan" despite her signing Hegan), and all the other children. Of the identified children only Thomas had a large family, and as all his surviving children were girls the name died with him. No living Hegans have yet been identified. Thomas's descendents are now spread from Miami to Amsterdam, via Panama, Sumatra and the Virgin Islands. I am really interested in the pre-1880 period, but other descendents would be most grateful to hear more of any other branches that have become detached over the years. PLEASE can anybody provide any specific information, or clues? Chris Morgan "Christopher Morgan" <ChrisMorgan@evnet.co.uk>

He died in typhoid fewer, probably around the turn of the century. Back in 1950 I visited a then old (around 60) lady (a daughter to the person I am looking for), Celia Fredrickson, in Salem, Oregon. She lived in 1875 Highway Avenue. In a letter to my brother in 1955 she wrote that she had two brothers and one sister, living in Portland, Oregon.
