    1. BAUER, Daniel; DEU>NLD; 1750
    2. Huub van Helvoort
    3. BAUER, Daniel; DEU>NLD; 1750 In the "Auswanderkartei" from Baden-Wueremberg I have found that Daniel BAUER received permission to go to Preussen, Pommern in 1750. Location: Grossheppach, Weinstad; Oberambt Schorndorf. However I think he changed his mind and went to the Netherlands where he married about a year later. His widow later claimed to receive money from Fellbach (from relatives). Who can help me find his birth record (and that of Peter BAUER who left at the same time, so this may be his brother). Or which archive will keep the birth records? Schoene Gruessen, Huub. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Always remember that you are unique... 2. LINDNER, August; Wildemann, HAN,DEU; c.1818 I am researching August Johann Heinrich Lindner born c.1818 and his wife Friederike nee Veit born c, 1819. They left Bremmerhaven on the 5th June 1851 on a ship named Herder and arrived in Port Adelaide, South Australia on the 21st September 1851. Their children were: Heinrich b.1842 Friedrich b.1845 Elise b.1848 Julius (baby) They came from Wildemann, Hanover and Friederike nee Veit came from Clausthal, Hanover. Friedrich (Johann Friedrich) was my husband's great great grandfather. August was a miner. On the same boat there was a gentleman named: Veit, Georg Heinrich Zacharias 33 a Road Worker of Clausthal, Hanover and we wondered if he was a brother to Friederike Augusts's wife. janlin@picknowl.com.au

    1. BOBART; OXF,ENG; 1700-1800

    3. BOBART; OXF,ENG; 1700-1800 Is anyone researching the surname BOBART? Possibly in Oxfordshire, Berkshire area? Although I am not researching the surname as such, it has cropped up in my research twice. First, a Tilleman Hodgkinson BOBART was a witness to the marriage of Robert HOUSE and Elizabeth BARTLETT at Henley in 1775. Second, there is a marriage of Henry Hodgkinson BOBART to Frances HOUSE in Shiplake, Oxfordshire (just south of Henley) in 1835. Witnesses to the above marriage were Ann HOUSE (wife of Robert, above) and William BROWN (Robert's son-in-law). This tends to imply that Frances was in some way related to Robert, but I can't place her at all. Given that I am struggling to trace Robert's ancestors, an investigation into Frances might throw up something new. It also makes me curious as to why Tilleman Hodgkinson BOBART should be a witness to Robert's marriage. Was he a close friend, or in some way related? Can anyone help?! 3. Re: CULMER; Kent,ENG; 1800-2000 Hi David Assuming that is Monkton near Honiton in Devon then we can place one Colmer nearby. From our experience suggest you also search for Cullimore and Collimore. The reverend John Colmer was the vicar of Combpyne (nr Axminster) in 1802 to at least 1808 when his daughter was born there. No trace in Combpyne thereafter so presume he moved to another living or died. We have not checked elsewhere. -- Roland and Celia Craven nr Exeter Devon.
